Contract: Full-time | Pay: £22-£23 per hour | Paid fortnightly

MCG Construction are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers to join the Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build - one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and secure steel reinforcement bars/mesh for concrete structures.
  • Interpret technical reinforcement drawings and schedules.
  • Cut, bend, tie, and assemble rebar as per specification.
  • Support safe and accurate concrete pours.
  • Maintain high nuclear industry quality and safety standards.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay: £22-£23 per hour, paid every 2 weeks.
  • Initial hours: Monday-Friday (rotating shifts may include evenings/nights).

Requirements:

  • CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue) card essential. (Unfortunately we cannot accept GQA or Green CSCS cards for this role)
  • Ability to read and follow reinforcement drawings.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
  • Desirable: IPAF, Harness Training, Abrasive Wheels certification.
  • Please note - you will need to go through a full background check prior to joining which will include a full DBS check and references.
