Position Description:

Sayari seeks a Principal Full Stack Engineer to help build our platform. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, self-motivated, with extensive software engineering experience, and interested in issues related to corporate transparency, anti-money laundering, sanctions evasion, and financial fraud. If you are passionate about open source development and innovative tech, with a strong web development and engineering management background, we encourage you to apply.

As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will lead an application team squad, oversee deliverables, architect solutions, ensure code quality and maintainability, and work closely with the product team to align with the product roadmap.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada as we cannot provide sponsorship at this time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Architect robust, scalable, and thoroughly tested solutions. Contribute to expanding functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to evolve the platform roadmap, translating product goals into features that reflect our data model and capabilities. Identify capacity constraints to inform prioritization.
• Evaluate technical designs for strengths and weaknesses, including complexity, consistency, correctness, scalability, and performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years in software development, including individual contributions and team management or mentorship.
• Strong expertise in Typescript and/or Javascript.
• Experience with backend web development and REST API architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or Cypher-based graph databases.
• Experience managing software in cloud environments like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with code reviews and unit testing.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with both front-end and back-end codebases.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Interest in data visualization and presenting large datasets visually.
• Exposure to batch processing frameworks like Spark.

Salary range: $175,000 - $200,000 annually, plus bonus and equity. Final offers depend on location, experience, and other factors.
