We are currently working alongside an organisation that provides international scientific marketing solutions for scientists and digital marketing experts. They are seeking a Temporary Proofreader to join their team in Manchester City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader and contribute to impactful written materials that resonate with scientists and professionals in the field.

As a Proofreader your primary role will be to meticulously review content, identifying and correcting grammar, spelling, and punctuation. You'll ensure consistency in language, style, and formatting to elevate the readability and impact of written works. Your attention to detail and ability to spot errors will be crucial in maintaining the organisation's reputation for high-quality, error-free content.

Responsibilities:

1. Carefully review and edit a variety of documents, including but not limited to scientific publications, marketing materials, and website content.
2. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
3. Ensure consistent language, style, and formatting.
4. Collaborate with the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
5. Provide suggestions for improving overall written content.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in proofreading and editing, preferably within a scientific, marketing, or related field.
2. Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
4. Proficient in using proofreading tools and software.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
