Seeking a Service Charge Accountant for a 6-month contract within a Real Estate business based in Central London. In this role, you will oversee the financial management, prepare and manage service charge budgets, reporting, finance business partnering, and year-end accounting support.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Prepare and manage annual service charge budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Preparation of Accounts: Produce Service Charge Actuals, reconciling customer payments and contractor payments to ensure accurate financial records.
Year-End Accounts: Prepare and finalize Year-End Accounts, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with industry regulations.
Finance Business Partnering: Client meetings as necessary to explain service charge accounts and procedures, addressing any queries or concerns.
Reporting: Produce high-quality service charge reports on a quarterly basis, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
Qualifications and Experience:
2+ years working in a service charge role
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent
Part-qualified or QBE
