School Receptionist - Immediate Start

Location: Blackwood, Caerphilly
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: 8am-4pm
Are you a friendly, organised, and professional individual looking to make a difference in an educational setting? Our client, a thriving and modern school, is seeking a School Receptionist to join their dedicated team.

The Role

As the first point of contact for visitors, pupils, and staff, you will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office. Responsibilities include:

1. Answering calls and handling face-to-face enquiries
2. Signing in visitors and pupils, maintaining security procedures
3. Providing pupil first aid (training available)
4. Carrying out general clerical and administrative tasks
5. Supporting the Administration Manager with daily office duties

What We're Looking For

A passion for working with children/young people, with empathy and understanding
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors
Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a busy school environment
Previous administrative experience (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)

Requirements

DBS Check (or willingness to obtain)
EWC Registration (or willingness to obtain)
Previous administrative experience
(School-based experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
