Job summary

Join a dynamic and innovative high street fashion supplier as a Senior Garment Technologist, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and fit of women's wovens and jersey products. Qualifications

  • Experience in women's wovens & jersey from retail or high street supplier.
  • Understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for fit meetings, ensuring quality and correct tagging.
  • Liaise with factories on fit comments and spec requirements.
  • Prepare Tech Packs and work closely with pattern cutters.

Senior Garment Technologist
Women's Multi-Product Wovens & Jersey
Leading High St Fashion Supplier - London
Office Based
Full Time / Perm

At the cutting edge of fast fashion, this leading high street supplier is a global design and manufacturing business with its headquarters in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Women's Wovens & Jersey Garment Technologist looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a friendly, fast paced and experienced Technical team.

Senior Garment Technologist role:
  1. Preparation of all samples before the fit meeting - press/reference samples, specing initial samples, chasing production samples, uploading the PS chase up list.
  2. Measure and inspect samples for fit and quality, ensure samples are tagged up correctly.
  3. Writing up comments, responding to emails, liaising cross department, attending handover meetings.
  4. Liaise with factories regarding fit comments and spec requirements.
  5. Understanding status reports and updating the critical path system.
  6. Check and request test reports.
  7. Chasing and gathering information, chasing correct trims, uploading sealing on visual.
  8. Preparing Tech Packs, working closely with pattern cutters.
About you:
  1. Retail or high street supplier women's wovens & jersey background.
  2. A degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion with a genuine interest in garment construction.
  3. An understanding of pattern cutting and garment manufacture.
  4. Solid experience using Microsoft Office and Excel.
  5. Good communication skills, using own initiative and be self-driven.
  6. Organisational skills, accuracy skills and be innovative with a proactive approach to problem solving.
