Maintenance Manager Opportunity

Join a forward-thinking, renewables business that is expanding due to a recent large investment.

About Our Client

My client is a growing business based near Middlesborough in the renewable energy sector, backed by investors from the oil and gas industry. This is an exciting time to join them with a large injection of investment into new machinery coming soon.

The long-term goal is to adopt a more proactive approach to maintenance and PPMs. As a result, the business is looking for a Maintenance Manager who can successfully lead a team but is also not afraid to get hands-on in the early stages of their appointment.

Job Description

  1. Lead, manage, and develop the existing Maintenance Supervisor, Engineers, and Technicians on site.
  2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and facilities.
  3. Implement robust mechanisms to monitor the condition of equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Coordinate the installation of new equipment and oversee upgrades or modifications.
  5. Ensure upgrade works, preventative, and planned maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, whether by employees or contractors.
  6. Ensure that all operations take place with health and safety protocols in mind.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Maintenance Manager will have:

  1. Experience in managing multi-skilled engineering teams.
  2. Knowledge of PPMs, proactive and reactive maintenance strategies.
  3. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  4. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  5. Knowledge of materials handling, conveying, and mechanical systems would be advantageous.
