Purpose:
  1. Ultimately accountable for delivering Discipline Specific Construction Work Packs and recording work information in AS9 (RFI, FCR, etc.).
  2. Contribute to scheduling works for the discipline, including review and feedback on resource levels.
  3. Define the scope of works boundaries.
  4. Liaise with SMEs and client counterparts.
  5. Ensure documents are compliant with the latest work information and MEH documentation; request clarifications or propose changes as needed. Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction as per schedule.
  6. Keep documents up-to-date and review periodically.
  7. Own and drive deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status, aiming for >90% first-time acceptance; may include specific Method Statements.
  8. Prioritize and own documentation to support construction as per the Level 4 plan (e.g., T-3 months acceptance).
  9. Support continuous improvement initiatives for processes and procedures.
  10. Report directly to the area pre-construction PM or deputy; provide line management and deputize as needed.
  11. Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze and coordinate works information documentation related to the specific discipline.
  2. Identify the work front through constructability reviews and installation scheduling.
  3. Determine key materials needed for installation; request surveys and temporary devices as required.
  4. Deliver discipline-specific construction documentation, including work packs, supporting the installation schedule.
  5. Coordinate between disciplines and areas to manage interfaces for schedule adherence.
  6. Support other MEH work teams (temporary services, surveying, coatings) for coordinated execution.
Key Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent vocational training/experience in installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
  • Ability to achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or higher).
  • CCNSG Safety Passport.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in a highly regulated sector, preferably nuclear.
  • Experience on major construction projects.
  • Experience at Engineer or Senior Engineer level.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks and Excel.
