A leading company in Northumberland is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join their expanding team. The role involves working on various projects, including distilleries and food processing facilities. Candidates should have a strong background in pipe fitting and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Job description

Due to expansion and growth, permanent positions have arisen for Pipe Fitters x2. Please note that the main base for this role will be Northumberland.

Pay Rates - £20.01ph - £28.01 ot1 - £36.01 ot2 (PAYE)

Job Description

• Must be able to work on their own or with a team.
• Able to carry out all pipefitting duties; welding to a coded standard is advantageous.
• Work mainly on thin wall metric and hygienic stainless, also schedule stainless and carbon.
• Workshop and site work on various locations including distilleries, breweries, waste-to-energy plants, and food processing facilities.
• Overtime and weekend work required.

Primary Objectives

• Cutting, prepping, and tacking carbon and stainless steel, including dairy pipe.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Time-served pipe fitter with conscientious approach to ensure high standards and quality. Ability to act with honesty, integrity, and accountability. Ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Time-served or qualified preferred, but at least 4 years of experience in the above role is required.

Additional Knowledge

Knowledge of welding and fabrication would be an advantage, including operation and procedures such as cutting, prepping, and tacking carbon and stainless steel, including dairy pipe. Experience with machine and workshop power tools and machinery is also beneficial.
