Position Summary

The Quality Inspector I performs routine mechanical or visual inspections based on provided technical documentation, using pre-trained methods to assess product acceptability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Collect inspection data as directed by inspectors or supervision.
  2. Learn blueprint reading, GD&T, and platework through training and on-the-job experience.
  3. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  4. Work in other areas or facilities as needed.
  5. Overtime or shift changes may be required.
  6. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. No prior quality experience required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Willingness to contribute to inspection tasks with provided training.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Effective communication with supervision regarding issues and training needs.
  • Participate in 5S workplace organization and maintain a clean work area.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily standing (over 90%) during shifts.
  • Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment, including standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stair climbing, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Repetitive movements of hands and arms, including reaching, bending, kneeling, and using tools.
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Use of PPE and compliance with safety and security protocols is mandatory.
