Certara Predictive Technologies Division is at the forefront of developing an integrated cloud-based platform designed to connect bioinformatic management tools such as D360 and its recently acquired Chemaxon Design Hub/Predictors seamlessly with its Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Simcyp Discovery Simulator and AI capabilities. Our goal is to create a state-of-the-art infrastructure that accelerates drug discovery and significantly increases the chances of drug success from the beginning.

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to lead and deliver this innovative platform. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in leading and working on similar initiatives. They will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders. A deep understanding of pharmaceutical challenges at the drug discovery stage and potential solutions is essential to efficiently address target product profile requirements by integrating safety and efficacy factors.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and delivery of the integrated cloud-based Discovery Platform.
2. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of bioinformatic tools, molecule designer and chemical structure-based predictor tools, Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic models, and AI (predictive and generative) capabilities.
3. Develop, manage, and mentor the team working on the platform, overseeing the day-to-day execution of tasks.
4. Develop educational and marketing materials to promote the product and disseminate outcomes and case studies.
5. Champion client relationships and develop and expand the addressable market.

Qualifications

1. Essential:
2. PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3. Proven track record of strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
4. Track record of publications, presentations and organisation of Scientific Sessions at International Conferences.
5. Deep understanding of pharmaceutical challenges and solutions at the drug discovery stage.
6. Desirable:
7. Previous hands-on experience in leading similar initiatives.
8. Experience with D360, Simcyp Discovery Simulator, or Chemaxon Design Hub/Predictors.
9. Familiarity with AI capabilities in the context of drug delivery, compound design, and/or structure based property prediction.
10. An understanding of the principles of Project Management
