Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated CAD Technical Coordinator to join the Team at our Silverstone facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing CAD systems and related processes to ensure efficient operation and data integrity. You will play a vital role in supporting engineering teams and maintaining design documentation. What you will be doing:

1. Provide technical hands-on support and mentoring for the entire user base in proper use of 3D CAD.
2. Develop / Document design workflows and best practices.
3. Manage Templates, Customisations, and preferences.
4. Development and delivery of training and coordination of all training and external support.
5. Manage CAD software installations, licenses, and updates.
6. Ensure data integrity and security of CAD files, including backup strategies.
7. Provide support and training to engineering staff on CAD tools and best practices.
8. Develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, and documentation.
9. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving CAD-related technical issues.
10. Coordinate with IT to ensure optimal CAD system performance.
11. Support the continuous improvement of CAD processes and workflows.

Requirements

1. A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and experience in an engineering environment.
3. Strong understanding of CAD data management practices.
4. Working knowledge of design principles.
5. Experience in F1 or other motorsport industries preferred.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently, while meeting challenging deadlines.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
10. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
