The Role

A globally recognised law firm is seeking a Project Finance Associate to join its market-leading team in London. This role offers exposure to high-profile, cross-border financings in the energy, infrastructure, mining, and digital sectors, advising on multi-tiered, multi-tranched structures for some of the most significant projects globally.

Working with leading practitioners, the successful candidate will be involved in complex project development, financing, and restructuring transactions, supporting sponsors, development finance institutions, and major lenders. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious associate to take on substantial responsibility within a top-tier environment.

Key Responsibilities

Advising on project finance transactions across the energy, infrastructure, natural resources, and digital sectors. Structuring and negotiating multi-jurisdictional acquisition financings, refinancings, and restructurings. Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements, and commercial contracts such as power purchase agreements and concession agreements. Supporting financial closes on large-scale transactions, engaging with sponsors, lenders, and development finance institutions. Assisting with business development and contributing to the firm’s reputation as a market leader in project finance. About You

Experience: 2–7 PQE from a top-tier firm, with project finance or infrastructure finance experience. Technical Excellence: Strong knowledge of structured financings, commercial contracts, and regulatory frameworks. Commercial Mindset: Ability to provide pragmatic and innovative solutions on complex deals. Client-Focused: A confident communicator with experience advising sponsors, banks, and institutions. Ambition & Drive: A self-starter eager to develop their expertise in an elite environment.
