Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. The post holder is responsible for delivering and developing all METRO's mental health and youth services, as well as some community projects.
2. Provide strategic leadership for METRO's work in mental health and youth domains, including line managing a team of managers.
3. Oversee the financial direction and strategic growth of these domains.
4. Develop new programmes, particularly in training and education, such as Relationships, Sexuality, Health, and Sex Education (RSE or RSHE).
5. Ensure services are delivered to a high standard and are co-produced with people with lived experience of mental health and young people.

Additional Responsibilities

The post holder will also serve as the charity's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), advising on safeguarding policies, supporting implementation, and providing direct safeguarding support to staff at all levels.
