The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to date in Formula 1.

This position reports to the Head of Strategy or their designee; it is based in Banbury, UK. The role supports strategists in defining, executing, and analyzing race strategies. Primarily factory-based, it includes support for trackside events, including all FIA Formula 1 championship races and some test events.
A degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. Experience in data analysis, numerical and statistical methodologies, and their applications. Strong problem-solving, logical thinking, research, and reporting skills are essential. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Formula 1 or high-level motorsport, preferably with strategy experience.
Technical race strategy experience. Familiarity with data analysis tools like ATLAS. Experience with competition analysis using SBG RaceWatch. Good understanding of vehicle and tyre performance. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work well within a team. A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues are crucial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or C# is beneficial. Experience with ATLAS and RaceWatch is desirable.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, often requiring extensive travel and long hours, including weekends. Physical demands may include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and manual dexterity. The environment involves machinery, race cars, rigs, debris, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
