Part-time Study Skills Tutor ASC

£28 per hour plus holiday pay

Randstad Student Support is recruiting Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Workers to assist autistic students at Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln).

The role has already commenced and is hybrid. Successful candidates must be able to travel to the university or college and deliver both in-person and online sessions flexibly to accommodate student preferences.

As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide tailored learning support and academic guidance, including developing individualized learning plans to foster student independence.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to identify and develop students' learning strengths
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in creating individual learning plans
• Knowledge of research methods and referencing styles
• Ability to promote independence and self-advocacy
• Experience managing a caseload of students

Qualifications

This role requires a strong academic background and relevant autism support training. To meet DSA requirements, candidates must:

• Hold at least an undergraduate degree (Level 6)
• Possess a teaching qualification
• Complete extensive training in adult autism, such as:
• 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package), or
• The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education
