Dispatch Production Assistant - Late shift
Job description
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £23,000 per year + 20% shift allowance

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours a week (Mon-Fri - 15:00-22:30)

We are the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we are here for everyone affected by sight loss. Working for us means working for one of the UK's biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK.

• Adhere to set production procedures in your team. This can include dispatch, braille, secure pin room, audio duplication area and print services.
• Required to operate specialist production machinery and performing basic machine maintenance.
• Collating standard print with accessible format documents, whilst consistently monitoring quality.
• Carrying out final proofing and quality checks in accordance with agreed standards.
• Able to work in a high paced, fast turnaround and challenging environment with speed, care and accuracy whilst maintaining agreed quality standards.
• Prioritise workload in line with client SLA requirements.
• Ensure health and safety standards, including the use of PPE are met to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

Skills and experience required:

• Knowledge of the Microsoft package
• Experience in Pack and Dispatch
• Experience of working to Service Level Agreements
• Experience of helping to implement process improvements
• Ability to work within a dynamic work area
• Ability to organise time effectively, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
