Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Stockport Council, Children's Support Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
- Stockport Children's Services are looking for experienced agency social workers for positions within a locality social work team and the school-based pilot scheme, which has recently received national backing by the DfE.
- Manage a case load.
- The work is varied, with social workers holding cases from the point of assessment to closure or permanence.
- Social workers work within a framework of Restorative Practice and our model seeks to minimise transitions for families, instead focusing on building relationships.
- Liaise with other professionals.
- 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
- 3 month Temporary Contract.
- Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
