Sonic Healthcare, an internationally renowned healthcare provider, is seeking a full-time HCPC registered Senior Biomedical Scientist for our Biochemistry and Serology Department at The Doctors Laboratory, Salford.

Role overview:
This role involves working in a state-of-the-art, fully equipped lab handling workload for private hospitals, clinics, and GP practices in the Northern Region. You will be part of a team, responsible for the performance of the Biochemistry/Serology Department, ensuring service quality, staff development, and compliance with UKAS ISO 15189 standards.
You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated, and qualified, with an MSc and significant post-registration experience in a Biochemistry/Serology laboratory. HCPC registration and broad experience at a specialist level are essential. Desirable skills include health and safety, audits, staff development, and quality standards.
The department uses Roche COBAS, Mast Pledia, and Abbott Alinity analysers and is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189.
Additional duties include participating in an out-of-hours rota, working late shifts and Saturdays on a rotation basis.
