Description
We are seeking an Assistant Head of Educational Partnerships (Relationship Management) to join our friendly and busy Centre for Educational Partnerships in leading the overall management and coordination of educational partnerships on behalf of the University.
This leadership role will provide key support to the Head of Educational Partnerships in streamlining the day-to-day operations, resources, policies, procedures and longer-term planning within the Centre to implement the objectives of the University’s
Educational Partnerships Strategy.
About the Role
As Assistant Head of Educational Partnerships (Relationship Management), you will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of Centre for Educational Partnerships owned processes and procedures for the management of programmes with partners, particularly in the areas of educational partnership and agent communications, social media, marketing and PR; implementing the University’s procedures and guidance for approval of partnership publicity and marketing materials; carrying out regular audits of partner’s digital and print publicity and marketing materials and supporting the University’s professional services departments and academic Schools in the day-to-day running of academic programmes with franchise, validated, TNE and other educational partners and agents. You will have a particular focus on the early stages of initial partner proposals and onboarding of new partners, building rapport early on and establishing a communications and meetings framework that includes all relevant internal and external stakeholders, as well as being responsible for organising events and training opportunities related to educational partners on behalf of the Centre and the University.

Educational Partnerships Strategy and the Assistant Head of Educational Partnerships (Relationship Management) will contribute to developing and implementing our framework for partner management, working always to foster good relations with current and prospective educational partnerships, while ensuring operational planning is effective and deadlines are met, both by partners and University departments and within the Centre team.
As part of your role within the Centre, the Assistant Head of Educational Partnerships (Relationship Management) will develop and maintain a website and social media presence for educational partnerships, as well as lead on communication of key strategic decisions to University operational teams to ensure effective delivery of actions and objectives. There will be opportunities to travel internationally, and the role will require regular travel to UK partners. The role is hybrid and you will normally be expected to spend a minimum of 40% of your time at either the main University campus at Newton Park, unless travel to partners in each week dictates otherwise.
About You
- Experience of working within an academic quality, programme development, academic delivery, academic administration, or similar context within a relevant setting.
- Experience in a manager role with line management responsibilities within a relevant setting.
- Understanding of the higher education environment and processes, as well as familiarity with the purpose and remit of the various regulatory bodies, such as the Office for Students (OfS).
- Experience of working in a marketing, communications and PR environment, or similar.
- In-depth understanding of project management processes and experience managing complex projects and workstreams in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working with further education and/or private providers in the education sector, or partnership working in a relevant sector, including franchised or validated delivery of HE programmes.
- General knowledge of the wider higher education landscape and its professional and regulatory context, including national and international trends and innovations in learning and teaching and awareness of the funding environment and current and emerging government policy.
- Demonstrable excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to successfully influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- A postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of quality assurance and enhancement processes in higher education.

Additional Information
Salary Grade 8S - Starting from £ 44,128 rising to £ 46,735 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
This is a Full Time position- The post holder will be expected to undertake frequent UK and occasional international travel to University partners and prospective partners, at times on a weekly basis.
- The post holder will normally be expected to spend a minimum of 40% of their working week at the main University campus at Newton Park or Bath Spa University London, unless travel to partners in each week dictates otherwise.
