Role Summary

An opportunity for an ambitious individual working in the existing dedicated Commercial Department as part of the tendering function to create high quality, fit for purpose and winning tender submission documents, which will help the business to win work predominately within the renewable and oil and gas sectors.

We are looking for people who share our passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assist in the production of high quality competitive bid documents from end to end
  • Log, coordinate and respond to enquiries in a timeframe better than the customers expectations
  • Work with Operations and Project functions to ensure correct offering is proposed for the enquiry
  • Ensure the tender is well presented, communicating to the customer the key commercial and technical advantages for choosing CPS
  • Ensure the appropriate proposed commercial rates are commanded, with tenders being checked and signed off.
  • Assist in the handover from the Tender to Project/Operations Team on successful award of the contract
  • Assist with making sure tenders are followed up, feedback collated and salient lessons learned implemented
  • Assist in ensuring tenders are properly caveated, supplied with terms and conditions and that deviations, exceptions or amends are communicated properly at handover stage with Projects/Operations
  • Help coordinate commercial and technical clarifications
  • Keep the project/operations team on track with the “end” deadline so the document can be reviewed in a timely manner
  • Review, clarify and where appropriate challenge responses received from internal support departments and insert qualifications into bid document. Evaluate and clarify supplier responses where appropriate
  • Ensure processes are followed
  • Take a role in ensuring CRM is kept up do date and on track
  • Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
