Bank Chef - £16.74 per hour

Contract: Bank, zero hours

Working Hours: As/when needed - shift times vary between 8am-5pm

Shaw Healthcare is looking for a Bank Chef to join the team at New Elmcroft in Shoreham by Sea. You will work with a dedicated team committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Our goal is to deliver the highest standard of care, comparable to what we would expect for our own family members. New Elmcroft is a highly respected provider of care, with residents' needs at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and staff to ensure the provision of high-quality, fresh, home-cooked meals daily.
  • Build rapport with residents and their families to meet their dietary needs.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
  • Cater to a varied diet, including cultural preferences.
  • Organize catering for celebrations and events within the home.
  • Order supplies within the catering budget and company policies, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
  • Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Participate in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen by following HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Support a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Assist in managing the Catering Team.
