Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proven leader passionate about managing the performance and development of our people. An engineering background or qualification is essential, but a passion, focus, drive, and vision to lead a team to deliver successfully are equally important. This is a 12-month contract.

Your role will be to:

  • Support and lead change programmes to meet a dynamic environment, delivering equipment critical to the defence of our nation and its front-line forces.
  • Deliver high-quality development and performance evaluations to maximize the potential of our people for today and the future.
  • Lead the development and harmonization of processes suited for rapid development of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Monitor, review, and report progress against technical and schedule deadlines with support from technical delivery leads and team leaders.
  • Reinforce technical excellence through robust design activity with the help of our Technical Expert community.
  • Support the recruitment process to meet workload and skills needs.
  • Motivate teams to deliver in challenging technical and time-bound environments.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally, degree-qualified with a solid engineering background.
  • Significant leadership experience with teams and individuals.
  • Experience in defining, implementing, and embedding strategic direction with clarity of vision and mission.
  • Ability to lead and drive collaboration across diverse teams to ensure on-time, on-cost, on-quality delivery.
  • Experience in management tasks such as recruitment, onboarding, performance, and development.

What we offer:

  • Salary: £62,000 depending on experience
  • Company Bonus: Up to 21% of base salary
