Job description

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical (JO-2504-64631) Ilkeston, England

Salary: GBP 20 per hour

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with electrical expertise to work either with the Maintenance Team or independently. The role involves ensuring the safe delivery of preventative planned maintenance, repairs, and fault response across all areas of our Core Business.

Requirements for the role
  1. Ideally a qualified Electrician with an apprenticeship in maintenance electrical background.
  2. Knowledge of mechanical fitting.
  3. Experience working within medium/heavy industrial environments.
  4. Good electrical knowledge of LV & HV systems is beneficial.
  5. Ability to perform mechanical PPMs and repairs.
  6. Basic safety training and good communication skills in English, with the ability to read and understand work instructions, drawings, and signage.
  7. Preferred experience in the concrete/pre-cast sector, construction materials, or similar mechanical plant environments.
  8. Experience in:
    1. Fitting & stripping hydraulic & pneumatic equipment.
    2. Basic milling, turning, drilling & grinding.
    3. Use of hand tools for precise operations.
  9. Ability to work alongside production deadlines, follow maintenance schedules, and respond to breakdowns.
  10. Understanding of company policies regarding health & safety, discipline, attendance, conduct, and equal treatment.
