Job Title: Nuclear - System Design & Integration - Submarines (Full Time / Part Time)

Work Arrangement: 5 Days On-Site - Hybrid working may be agreed.

Rolls-Royce is seeking individuals with a strong background in Systems Design & Integration to join our team in Derby.

Our Systems Design & Integration engineers are responsible for problem resolution, defining requirements, and designing and integrating products & systems. They perform concept-level technical analysis to verify potential solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply understanding of NSRP and wider Nuclear product operation, systems, sub-systems, and interactions.
  • Design systems using Systems Engineering principles, including Robust Design tools & techniques.
  • Manage and flow system-level requirements.
  • Plan and manage product changes, technical approval, and investigations.
  • Verify system compliance with requirements and manage standardization reports.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and influence outcomes.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including remote teams.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and cross-discipline engineering concepts (manufacturing, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, etc.).
  • Logical, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
