Job description

North East based new Fantastic Business Development Manager opportunity has arisen, selling our clients freight forwarding product/services across the north of the UK.


The candidate ideally will have an experienced AIR AND SEA freight background, however International and UK Express Parcels will be considered, as will European Road Freight, UK and European Pallets, E-Commerce, Haulage and general Logistics.


The candidate the client is searching for is as follows:

Business Development Manager

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will:

  1. Be part of a small sales team and take responsibility for developing new business.
  2. You will be tasked to find new business, giving potential into the wider Company UK regions, making a significant impact on the growth of the branch business based in the North East.

As a Business Development Manager you will be an expert on our product, confidently marketing the benefits of the clients UK business across the region and beyond. The client will encourage you to build your own customer base by engaging with prospects via telephone, email and online communication. You will play a pivotal part in the success of the business here at the North East branch.


Essentially you will:
  1. Be experienced in selling Air and Sea freight business, with your drive to enhance the growth at our branch.
  2. You will come with a proven road transport sales background, ideally from within the freight forwarding sector.
  3. Have strong awareness of the digital and e-commerce selling techniques.
  4. Be fearless in running with and selling our freight forwarding product.
  5. Have the organisational skills to balance and prioritise numerous challenges within their business.
