Care Assistant required to assist a 9-year-old boy living in the Consett area - Consett - DH8.

Rate of Pay: £12 per hour. To cover holidays/sickness days to be negotiated/flexible.

The Care Assistant's role would be to assist him with the family on occasions or take him out into the community on a 1:1 basis to access social activities he enjoys. He is a member of the National Trust and Beamish.

It is preferred that the successful applicant has some experience with autistic children, but this is not necessary as training can be provided. The important attributes of the Care Assistant would be to be caring, patient, and friendly, as well as being flexible.

A clean Driving Licence is required, and access to a car would be an advantage but not necessary.

An enhanced DBS will be required, but this will be paid for by the employer.
