Job Description

  • Setting and executing a production strategy for the UK Corporate Healthcare business with a focus on Medical Indemnity
  • Hitting an annual new business target of £250,000
  • Developing and implementing strategies to win new client accounts
  • Maintaining an active sales pipeline, managing relationships with prospects
  • Driving business development and negotiating effectively to meet production goals
  • Managing the relationship with overall decision-making responsibility on prospects demonstrating strategic leadership to maintain and develop prospects and inform servicing requirements
  • Overseeing and maintaining SalesForce records to ensure new business prospects/expanded service opportunities and successes can be accurately tracked and reported on
  • Implementing an appropriate communication plan on targeted prospects
  • Guiding the Account Executive on fee agreements and account servicing
  • Interacting with business leadership, as appropriate, to ensure the client experience meets company standards

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced in the healthcare or medical insurance sectors, particularly medical indemnity or malpractice
  • Goal-oriented and willing to monitor progress throughout the year
  • Obsessed with prospecting and disciplined to do it every day
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to demonstrate thought leadership
  • Have a balanced approach to finding new clients and managing existing accounts, being assertive and competitive but not aggressive or passive; they have a desire to win but always put clients' interests first
  • Have built up an extensive knowledge of their local, territory and/or industry marketplaces, with fantastic product knowledge
  • Can build and maintain relationships with a large, diverse group of people to whom they go for business opportunities, referrals, and information
  • Broad knowledge of all insurance classes with expert understanding of specific classes of business where relevant
  • Broad understanding of general business commercial challenges, opportunities, and financial reporting
  • Understanding of insurance requirements of commercial organisations in targeted sector or industry
  • Ability to prepare and execute strategic direction by demonstrating a deep understanding of a client's business, sector, possible challenges and opportunities
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate as appropriate
  • Highly professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve production objectives and maximise on value added services
