The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented eLearning developer to help us to transform the way people learn.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 40 hours per week.

  • Salary: £35,000, plus company and individual performance related bonus and workplace pension.
  • Location: Remote.
  • Holiday: 25 days, plus an added day every two years of service (up to 5 additional days).

The Role

Operam Academy has strong brand recognition for engaging content that makes the complex seem simple and values peoples time. We have ambitious plans for new content that will add greater value to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop engaging and interactive eLearning modules, including text, graphics, videos, and quizzes.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences tailored to learners within the construction industry.
  • Use eLearning authoring tools (predominately Articulate Storyline and Rise) to build courses that are visually appealing and user-friendly.
  • Bring fresh ideas and explore opportunities to integrate AI tools to optimize the development workflow, enhance content personalization, and improve learner engagement.
  • Review and test eLearning content to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to gather content and feedback.

The Person

You must have:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as an eLearning developer or similar role.
  • Expert knowledge of Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise and Review etc)
  • Lots of energy, creative flair and a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

You should have:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to design engaging and interactive content that captures learners' attention.
  • Knowledge of AI tools (such as Smartcat and Synthesia etc) and how they can be leveraged to optimize the development workflow and enhance learning experiences.
  • Experience of localising and translating content to suit different countries and regions.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Passion for creating visually appealing and effective learning content.
  • A keen eye for detail and lots of pride in your work.
  • Excellent language, communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

When the job posting closes, a longlist of potential candidates will be invited to join a 15 minute introductory call, during which you will be asked some administrative questions, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have.

A shortlist of potential candidates will then be called back for interview, where you will be asked a series of competency-based questions and required to walk us through your portfolio of work and field questions on what you present. Details will be provided prior to the interview.
