E&I Maintenance Technician

Location: Enfield, United Kingdom

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, rotating shifts with overtime & on-call)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking industrial team in Hertfordshire. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation assets
  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems
  • Diagnose and resolve faults on pneumatics, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and variable speed drives
  • Ensure compliance with site safety standards and operational requirements
  • Work a rotating shift pattern with opportunities for overtime and on-call support
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent trade certification)
  • Strong electrical background within heavy industry (energy, utilities, or process plants)
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, PPM, and complex installations
  • Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and drives
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a safety-critical environment
Desirable
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Previous maintenance experience in large-scale industrial facilities
