Job summary

Engenda Group in Runcorn seeks an electrical estimator to join our core estimating team. You will build accurate tender estimates for work across energy, chemical, utilities, renewables and major infrastructure projects using hands-on electrical experience.

This role develops your estimating skills from feasibility through EPC/EPCm opportunities, with support from a dedicated team. Hours are 40 plus flexi time; salary is £45,000 and a car allowance or company car is provided.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant electrical trade background.
• Experience in electrical estimation or tendering.
• Strong numeracy and IT skills.
• Ability to learn and develop estimating knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the estimating team with tenders from feasibility through to EPC/EPCm opportunities, developing your estimating skills across a range of projects.
• Assist with reviewing ITTs/RFQs, drawings and specifications to understand project scope and build up accurate estimates.
• Develop labour, material and subcontractor costs, learning how to build estimates, BoQs and pricing schedules.
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations, helping identify costs, risks and potential value engineering opportunities.
• Work with estimators, project teams and clients through tender queries, site visits and clarifications.
• Build your knowledge of estimating processes, commercial considerations and industry standards, with ongoing support and development from the wider team.

Engenda Group are looking for an electrical estimator to join our core Runcorn estimating team. You will be working within a small but dedicated team of estimators, working on tenders and bids for work in the energy, chemical, utilities, renewables and major infrastructure industries.

Hours: 40 + flexi time

Salary: £45,000

You Will

• Support the estimating team with tenders from feasibility through to EPC/EPCm opportunities, developing your estimating skills across a range of projects.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• An electrical engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant electrical trade background.
• Practical experience within electrical engineering, industrial construction, maintenance or a similar environment.
• A good understanding of electrical systems, installations, drawings and specifications, with an interest in developing your estimating knowledge.
• Good numerical, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
• A willingness to learn, develop commercial awareness and take on increasing responsibility within the estimating team.
• Knowledge of industrial environments, with exposure to COMAH, ATEX, CDM Regulations or similar standards being beneficial.
