Job summary

Allied Protek Engineering Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced E&I Designer to join a small multi-disciplinary team at our Grimsby headquarters on a full-time basis.

You will develop electrical and instrumentation designs, produce schematics and layouts, and ensure compliance with industry standards while collaborating with engineers, project teams and site personnel. Travel to sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of E&I design experience in Oil & Gas or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, Trimble or similar design tools.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, BS and ATEX standards.
• Comp Ex 12 qualification is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed E&I designs, schematics and layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Develop wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs and panel layouts for industrial projects.
• Assist in selecting cables, instrumentation, control systems and power distribution equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (IEC, BS, ATEX).
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and site teams for accuracy.
• Perform site surveys and incorporate field data into designs.
• Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.

We are seeking an experienced E&I Designer, working within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers. You will be responsible for developing electrical and instrumentation design drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This is a full-time position, based in Allied Protek’s Grimsby offices with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities will include
