Role Purpose
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is building a world-class Microsoft Dynamics Practice. The team focuses on advisory and implementation services related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP), including leading the implementation of these systems and engagements related to Independent Programme Assurance where third parties are delivering such programmes.

The Solution Architect role is required to lead the technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centered solutions on large complex programmes or a portfolio, drive deep technical expertise within DevOps, and provide functional leadership within the practice to deliver quality, client-centric solutions. This role provides deep industry expertise to build and cultivate strong business relationships at a senior level and champions innovation both within the firm and with clients, sharing Thought Leadership across the relevant Industry specialism. The role collaborates with the Global team to enhance the out-of-the-box Dynamics functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and a resalable asset. It takes a leading role in identifying development needs of team members and provides coaching, mentoring, or stretch assignments to support individuals in achieving their full potential while promoting collaboration across the team.

Role Responsibilities

• Leads customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centered solutions on large, complex programmes or portfolios, managing a team of professionals and possibly contributing cross-functional/team specialists.
• Effectively manages commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability.
• Executes projects to meet member firm’s quality standards within a commercial context.
• Manages scope and delivers timely and quality deliverables.
• Provides inputs/takes a lead in creating innovative and repeatable solutions that strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.
• Ensures pre-sales engagements are delivered with the same rigor and attention to detail as client engagements.
• Identifies business/project risks and mitigates as necessary, ensuring work fits with firm capabilities or Risk Management criteria.
• Delivers all consultancy according to the MBS and/or KPMG Methodology, ensuring successful implementation of all software applications according to the project plan.
• Holds reviews on project completion to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.
• Engages in CPD to maintain Microsoft accreditation status and stay updated with technical developments.
• Models Firm values and behaviors, actively promoting and supporting inclusive collaboration within the Practice.
• Demonstrates the ability to drive change through motivating and influencing team members.

Knowledge & Skills (including Qualifications)

• Deep technical expertise in DevOps and broad knowledge of technical and functional capabilities of Dynamics CRM, including appropriate certification (CRM Online 2013, 2015, 2016, or 365).
• Strong technical architecture experience, especially in integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM with other solutions, including Microsoft products and third-party or legacy systems.
• Extensive experience leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple complex CRM solutions, including systems integration and using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Proven experience in CRM Configuration, Customisation, standard workflows, dashboards, forms, views, and standard reports development.
• Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies.
• Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Specialism in one industry or sector is essential.
• Experience in Agile Methodology.

Experience and Background:

• Expertise in providing both out-of-the-box and development solutions in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment.
• Extensive experience as a CE consultant, with the ability to lead engagements and present to C-Suite stakeholders.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 in a Solution Architect role.
• Experience in large scale CE implementations, focusing on business requirement analysis to reduce development effort and simplify delivery.
• Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
• Business process mapping, modeling, and documentation knowledge.
• Experience mentoring junior and offshore staff.
