Job summary

Teach Plus is recruiting a Year 5 Teacher for an ASAP start at a large three-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest. The role offers a full-time contract and the opportunity to work within a supportive Year 5 team.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, maintain high expectations and differentiate for all pupils, while contributing to the school's ongoing focus on high-quality teaching and strong pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
• Previous UK primary teaching experience.
• Strong KS2 experience desirable.
• Experience teaching Year 5 advantageous.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large year-group team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations of attainment, behaviour and progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Assess pupil progress and inform future planning.
• Work collaboratively with the Year 5 teaching team.
• Develop positive relationships with pupils and parents.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with additional needs through differentiation.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
