Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative for our North Tawton site. You will operate Counterbalance and Reach trucks to pick and dispatch goods, supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure on-time deliveries.

We value accuracy, teamwork, and a proactive approach. The role runs 07:00–17:00 on a 4-on 2-off rota, with overtime paid hourly and training provided to handle equipment safely. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but training provided.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail in picking, packing and paperwork.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; be on your feet and adaptable.
• Basic numeracy and literacy to read instructions and complete stock counts.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Use of Counterbalance and Reach trucks to support warehouse operations (training provided).
• Operate warehouse systems and handheld scanners to receive, locate, pick and dispatch goods.
• Handle all goods with care, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory to keep the warehouse organized.
• Support general tasks including pallet wrapping, labeling and shipment preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace and report issues promptly.
• Complete essential paperwork and follow warehouse procedures.
