Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the Finningley (DN9 3XA) site. The role involves receiving, storing, packing and dispatching goods with accuracy and safety. You will work on 3 alternating shifts: 06:00-14:30, 08:00-16:30 and 10:30-19:00, contributing to efficient warehouse operations.

The role offers a comprehensive package including salary, shift allowances and benefits, and training where required. Previous forklift experience is preferred but full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Forklift Truck licence (counterbalance or Reach preferred, but not essential as full training can be given).
• Ability to work on own initiative within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good PC knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• To adhere to GXO health and Safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery notes.
• Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Record / book stock into warehouse systems using WMS.
• Carry out stock checks and cycle counts, reporting shortages or variances.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete dispatch documentation accurately.
• Ensure all shipments meet customer and company requirements.
