Job summary

Destination Education is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream and SEN schools in Redbridge with flexible, long-term opportunities and daily rates of £100–£120. Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.

You will support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, offering 1:1 or small-group support and assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons. SEN experience is valued, though transferable experience and the right attitude are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, childcare, youth work or support work.
• SEN experience is highly valued.
• Flexible, reliable and patient.
• Passion for helping children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with academic, social and emotional development.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Assisting the class teacher with lessons and activities.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
• Encouraging confidence, independence and communication.
• Supporting positive behaviour and routines.
