Job summary

REESON Education is seeking an experienced Headteacher for a specialist SEND school in Harrow. You will lead day-to-day operations and drive an ambitious, nurtured learning environment for pupils aged 5-16 with autism and additional needs.

You will work with the Executive Headteacher to sustain high standards, monitor teaching, lead staff development and manage school resources while maintaining safeguarding excellence and strong curriculum progression.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a school setting.
• Strong track record of raising educational standards.
• Knowledge of Ofsted expectations and inspection preparation.
• Experience with EHCPs and annual reviews.
• Ability to analyze pupil progress and school performance data.
• Capability to have challenging professional conversations when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the school with a calm, ambitious environment.
• Develop and implement evidence-based improvement plans.
• Ensure safeguarding, behaviour and attendance are exemplary.
• Monitor teaching and learning and drive improvements where needed.
• Manage and develop teaching staff, support staff and middle leaders.
• Lead appraisal, coaching and professional development across the school.
• Oversee resources and budgets in partnership with the Executive Headteacher.
