Role Overview:

As the SEN Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical, and differentiated Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will adapt your teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and inspire curiosity, exploration, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver creative Science lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students.
2. Differentiate teaching materials to ensure accessibility for students of varying abilities.
3. Incorporate sensory and practical activities to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
4. Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to implement EHCPs and learning plans.
5. Assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
6. Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere that nurtures student confidence.
7. Support students’ social, emotional, and communication development through Science-based activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
