Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a passionate Religious Education teacher to join a secondary school in South East London. You will plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across the secondary age range, encouraging thoughtful discussion and helping students understand religious, cultural and ethical issues.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have experience teaching RE at secondary level, and demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification is required.
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective lesson-planning skills are required.
• Confident managing classroom behaviour and engaging students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic progress and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across the secondary age range.
• Encourage students to think critically and discuss beliefs respectfully.
• Adapt teaching to support varying abilities and needs.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
