Job summary

GSL Education Hull Branch is recruiting for a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join a secondary school in Hull. The role is a temporary, full-time position during term time with an ASAP start.

You will deliver engaging PE lessons, promote active lifestyles and support pupils in developing fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship. Previous secondary PE teaching experience and a current DBS are preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge across PE and a range of sporting activities.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting preferred.
• Ability to manage classrooms confidently and engage learners.
• Up-to-date CV with the last 10 years and any gaps explained.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver PE lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Develop pupils' physical skills, fitness and sporting knowledge.
• Differentiate activities for varying abilities to enable progress.
• Establish high behaviour, effort, teamwork and participation standards.
• Contribute to extracurricular PE provision and sporting events.
