Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join our network as a Secondary English Supply Teacher. You will deliver specialist English across Key Stage 3 and 4, focusing on literature, poetry, and writing, with opportunities for flexible full-time or part-time arrangements.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent, a degree in English, and a commitment to safeguarding. Salary is £140 - £233 per day, depending on experience, with support from our recruitment team.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
• Degree in English or related field with knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering Shakespeare, poetry, persuasive writing, and spoken language.
• Support Year 11 students with targeted examination preparation, focusing on essay structure and critical analysis.
• Maintain a professional, vibrant, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs, including EAL and SEND.
• Adapt to varying school cultures while maintaining high standards of academic delivery.
