Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established school for a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to join its dynamic team. You will inspire students, develop artistic skills, and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages.

The ideal candidate will have QTS (or equivalent), experience teaching Art & Design at secondary level, and a genuine passion for creativity and education. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art & Design at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical artistic skills.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging Art and Design lessons across relevant Key Stages.
• Teach a range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media.
• Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic abilities.
• Assess, monitor and provide constructive feedback on students' progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Contribute to curriculum development, exhibitions and extracurricular art activities.
