Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established school in the United Kingdom for a creative Art Teacher to join its teaching team. You will plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons, inspiring students and developing their artistic skills across Key Stages.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, have secondary Art and Design experience, strong subject knowledge, and excellent classroom management. A genuine passion for creativity and safeguarding is essential.

• Experience teaching Art & Design at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical artistic skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging Art and Design lessons across relevant Key Stages.
• Teach painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media techniques.
• Encourage students to explore creativity and develop artistic abilities.
• Assess, monitor and provide constructive feedback on students' progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and discipline.
• Contribute to curriculum development, exhibitions and extracurricular art activities.
