Job summary

A well-established independent school in Hertfordshire is seeking a Science Technician to join its friendly and well-resourced Science Department. You will support practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, set up and clear equipment, assist teachers during experiments, and help maintain lab facilities.

You will also manage chemicals and resources, monitor stock, keep COSHH and safety records, and conduct routine equipment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience as Science Technician in a school or laboratory.
• Understanding of laboratory health and safety (COSHH) and safety records.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Setting up and clearing practical equipment.
• Supporting teachers during experiments
