Qualifications

• Honours degree and teaching qualification with QTS.
• Experience of teaching, learning and assessment to KS3/4 (KS5 preferred).
• Understanding of curriculum developments.
• Able to use a range of teaching and learning strategies.
• Commitment to high standards in all academy work.
• Understanding of Assessment for Learning to improve student performance and embed this in the department.
• Confidence in using standard computer packages to enhance learning.
• Able to use student level data to raise standards.
• Enthusiasm for your subject.
• Creative problem solving with willingness to try new approaches.
• Ability to relate to students empathetically and recognise safeguarding issues.
• Clear oral and written communication with students and parents.
• Pleasant, friendly, punctual and reliable.
• Commitment to working as part of the Academy team and supporting its vision.
