Job summary

Burnley High School invites applications for a dedicated Science Teacher on a fixed-term contract starting December 2026 for about 12 months. The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, deliver a broad, balanced curriculum and support students' progress.

The role requires QTS, a science degree, and a track record of high attainment. We welcome motivated professionals who can contribute to CPD, school improvement and the Education Partnership Trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status required.
• Degree in Science (or post‑degree conversion) expected.
• Demonstrated potential to help students reach high standards of learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach across KS3 & KS4 Science.
• Deliver a broad, balanced, differentiated curriculum.
• Monitor and support students’ progress and development as teacher and form tutor.
• Foster learning experiences to help students reach their potential.
• Contribute to raising standards of attainment.
• Support opportunities for personal and academic growth within the Trust.
