Job summary

Boston Spa Academy, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, is seeking a highly organised Science Technician in Leeds. The post holder will support the delivery of an outstanding science curriculum, prepare and maintain equipment, and assist staff and students during practical sessions. The role requires proactive, reliable individuals with strong organisation and teamwork skills.

Start date to be agreed. Hours are 37 per week, term time plus one week, with benefits including a teacher/local

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4/C or above in Science or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient with Word/Excel.
• Familiarity with laboratory apparatus and chemicals.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and organise laboratory equipment and materials.
• Support staff and students during practical activities.
• Maintain stock and inventory records for science labs.
• Ensure laboratories operate safely and efficiently.
