Job summary

Vets for Pets Mapperley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a supportive team of 6 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 6 receptionists. The practice is RCVS-accredited with a Gold ISFM Cat Friendly Certificate and embraces innovation with modern equipment and ongoing learning.

We offer a full-time RVN position with CPD opportunities, a contributory pension, cycle-to-work, and exclusive discounts. Expect a friendly, balanced environment with flexible scheduling and a 1 in 4 weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Be confident in all aspects of veterinary nursing, from surgical and medical procedures to inpatient care and consultations.
• Strong communication and organisation skills with a proactive approach to patient and client care.
• Interest in the business side of the practice and ability to motivate a team to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Help with daily running of the practice to maintain high standards of care for patients and clients.
• Perform nursing duties across operating, inpatient, and consultations as part of a shared schedule.
