Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a knowledgeable Psychology Teacher for a successful Colchester-based secondary school. The role covers KS4 and KS5, helping students develop analytical and critical-thinking skills for examinations.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, monitor progress, and contribute to enrichment and sixth-form programmes while collaborating with colleagues across departments to support students' next steps into university, apprenticeships or employment.

Qualifications

• Psychology Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5.
• Strong subject knowledge across the Psychology curriculum.
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology is desirable.
• Formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE acceptable).
• Ability to develop students' analytical, evaluative and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements.
• Use contemporary examples to make Psychology engaging and relevant.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
• Legal ability to work within the UK.

Responsibilities
